Anneliese Wolfe
We are excited to have Coach Wolfe join us this year with the middle school program.
All About Me
Hi! I’m Coach Wolfe, and I’m super excited to join the XC team this year. My husband, daughter, and I live in Kalamazoo. Originally, I am from Flint, MI, where I attended Carman-Ainsworth High School. In 2009, I moved to Kalamazoo to pursue my teaching degree at Western Michigan University.

I am a special education teacher at Mattawan High School and have eleven years of teaching experience.

Outside of work, I love to go for walks with my family, golfing, camping, gardening, and reading. I’ve been playing ice hockey for fourteen years in a women’s league in Kalamazoo.

Coaching Background
During the early days of my career, I was both coach and liaison for Girls on the Run at Paw Paw Later Elementary School for five years. This is my first formal coaching experience.

Running Background
Coaching GOTR motivated me to become a runner. I found that running gave me a positive outlet for my mental health and stress. I love feeling my endurance and stamina increasing, going further and getting quicker, and crushing the goals I have set for myself.
My best running year was 2022. I ran six races, four of which were when I was expecting my daughter: Portage Winter Blast 10k, Kalamazoo Ziegler 10k, Kalamazoo Klassic 5k, Holland Haven 8k, Wildcat 5k, and Run through the Rapids 5k. Now that my daughter is almost two years old, I’m ready to get back into running and help our young athletes reach their goals.
